What happens to what you type here, in plain terms.
Who runs the check
Every check on this site is run by Seer (seer.to), on your behalf. When you search, your browser connects through this site to Seer, which receives what you typed, your IP address and your browser’s user agent. Seer uses your IP address to apply the daily limit of five free checks and to stop automated abuse, with a Cloudflare Turnstile check.
Seer logs each check, including the term searched, your IP address and your browser, as its privacy policy describes. That policy covers everything Seer does with the check.
What this site keeps
Nothing. SearchBreaches has no accounts and no database. It is a set of pages and a connection to Seer’s check.
It uses Google Analytics to count visits. Before anything is sent to Google, the query string is removed from every address, so what you searched never reaches Google, and the results page reports one fixed title. Links from a results page to Seer go through this site’s own address for the same reason.
What the results show
Results are masked: an email address or username shows its first letters only, and leaked values such as passwords and hashes are never shown. The person, address, number or domain you search is not told about the search.
Removing your records
You can ask Seer to suppress the records keyed to your email address across all of its searches, including this one, at seer.to/takedown. Seer confirms the request by emailing the address.
